2 (15 ounce) cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed

- Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with foil and set aside.
- Drain and rinse chickpeas in a colander. Pat dry to remove any excess water.
- Put chickpeas in a single layer on prepared baking sheet. Dry roast chickpeas for 60 minutes. Be sure to give the baking sheet a shake every 15 minutes to avoiding burning.
- Remove from oven and toss chickpeas in a bowl with sesame oil, garlic powder and salt. Increase oven temperature to 375 degrees F.
- Return chickpeas to the foil-lined baking sheet and bake for another 10 minutes at 375 degrees F.
- Remove from oven and let chickpeas cool completely before serving.
