This two-day, kids-only cooking camp will immerse 10 children in kitchen-based activities to foster a strong understanding of the gluten-free diet.
Through interactive cooking lessons, art projects and discussions, kids will gain valuable experience with converting recipes to be gluten-free, selecting safe products and navigating discussions about their diet at home, at school and on the go.

Camp Day 1Day 1 will explore two topics: dining in restaurants and gluten-free baking. Kids will enjoy working with the chefs from Wildfire Restaurant as well as experts from the Celiac Disease Program at Children’s National Health System to bake and decorate pizzas and cookies. We’ll also talk about fun ways to integrate fruits and veggies into a daily routine, as well as how to eat safely at restaurants and on the go.
