Celiac disease program
Since its establishment in 2010, the Celiac Disease Program at Children's National Health System has dedicated itself to developing a national model for other hospitals to follow in the detection and treatment of celiac disease. The goal of our Program is to improve the way that pediatric celiac disease is diagnosed and treated through the implementation of our 5-part approach.
Diabetes Care Complex
The Washington Nationals Diabetes Care Complex allows Children’s National to provide quality diabetes care with its state-of-the-art treatment rooms and an education center, where families can participate in simulation labs to learn about proper nutrition and physical exercise - the keys to diabetes management. The complex was made possible through a partnership with the Washington Nationals Dream Foundation. The Celiac Disease Program works closely with the Diabetes Program as research shows a close link between celiac and type 1 diabetes.
